Today a lady refused to be served by one of our Barista's. He has quite long hair and his apron had a few stains on it from the days work but he looked fine.
She said that he was too dirty and did not want her beverages made by him so another Barista had to make them. He was pretty upset about this and understandably so!! I would have been really upset. But then again there's just not pleasing some people.

I am a former barista and one of my pet peeves is a dirty apron. I understand you may get an apron dirty during a shift, but to start a shift with a filthy apron that can stand up on its self? I understand some baristas don't have a washing machine or they are too tired with school work and all. Why not wear your apron in the shower and wash it then. Hang your apron up to dry for the next day. Guess what? Clean apron. Dirty aprons are like dirty glass doors in the shop. It gives a bad impression.
